The NRL is making strides to promote rugby league in the United States, eyeing another city following the success seen in Las Vegas.
Miami is being considered as a possible venue for Round 1, particularly as the current Las Vegas contract with the Nevada government is set to end in 2028.
Sport Confidential has revealed that Miami may replicate the success achieved in Las Vegas, with ARL Chairman Peter V'landys eager to explore further opportunities in the U.S.
"We're certainly interested in staying in America," V'landys shared with News Corp.
"We'll have talks with Las Vegas because it has been a success for us; it made us $2 million this year, so it's been profitable.
"But we'll also look at other areas of the US; Miami is one place we could go to next.
"That's one option we are looking at, absolutely."
Additionally, Japan is gaining traction as a potential market for expansion, with the Sydney Roosters expressing interest in holding a match there.
Considering Japan's enthusiastic rugby fanbase and its convenient time zones related to Australia's east coast, it represents a promising opportunity for growth after Las Vegas.
