The NRL finals may be ongoing, but the transfer market is already gaining momentum, highlighted by a significant roster change for one club.

According to the Daily Telegraph, the Dolphins have successfully secured the signing of England captain and international star George Williams.

The playmaker, who previously played for the Canberra Raiders, left the NRL four years ago following a contentious dispute with head coach Ricky Stuart.

Though he returned to the Super League due to feelings of homesickness, he has now decided to make a bold return to Australia.

Williams will join the Dolphins on a two-year contract, a move that enhances the club's leadership as they aim for a spot in the finals.

However, fans of the Dolphins will have to wait until 2027 to see their new signing in Redcliffe, as he is currently under contract with the Warrington Wolves until the end of the 2026 season.

By the time he arrives at the Dolphins, Williams will be 32, and he's expected to form a partnership with emerging talent Isaiya Katoa in the halves.
