An NRL club has thrown their hat in the ring to sign the star NSW Blues forward Spencer Leniu, according to reports from zerotackle.com.
After making the switch from the Penrith Panthers to the Sydney Roosters earlier this season, Leniu has experienced a rollercoaster ride with highs and lows in recent months, but he continues to be a standout performer on the rugby league battleground.
In just eight games with the Roosters, the Samoan international and NSW Blues representative has quickly established himself as one of the top recruits in the league, alongside his former teammate Stephen Crichton.
With Leniu set to become a free agent on November 1, the Roosters have initiated talks with him in hopes of securing his services for the long haul, potentially until the end of the 2028 season, as reported by Fox Sports.
This development comes as the Roosters prepare to bid farewell to veteran Jared Waerea-Hargreaves at the conclusion of the season, leaving a void that they hope Leniu can fill with his aggression and impact on the field.
