Is Lewis Dodd the next big thing in the NRL?

The young playmaker, known for his exciting and skilful style, is gearing up for a new challenge as he joins the South Sydney Rabbitohs in the upcoming season.

Hailing from England, Dodd has his sights set on emulating the success of legendary halfback Gary Stephens, who led the Manly Sea Eagles to a premiership back in 1976.

After a stellar season that saw him clinch the 2021 Super League title with St Helens RLFC and kick the winning field goal in the 2023 World Club Challenge against the Penrith Panthers, Dodd is ready to make his mark in the NRL.

While past overseas players like Joe Burgess, Ryan Hall, and Sam Tomkins have struggled to leave a lasting impression in the league, Dodd is determined to break the mold.

With a hefty $2.1 million contract in his pocket, the 22-year-old is aiming to follow in the footsteps of the famous Burgess brothers and become a household name in the red and green jersey.

Taking over the No.7 jersey left vacant by Dean Hawkins and Lachlan Ilias, Dodd will partner up with Cody Walker in the halves for the Rabbitohs.

With his talent and drive, Dodd is poised to shake up the NRL and make a name for himself on the international rugby league stage.

Watch out, NRL - Lewis Dodd is coming for you.
