Seven dedicated supporter buses are already committed to carrying Newcastle fans south for the Knights' NRL Preliminary Final against Penrith.
The NRL says Knights supporters have bought 65 per cent of tickets sold so far, representing nearly two thirds of the expected crowd.
Thousands of Novocastrians are expected to attend as Newcastle pursue a place in the NRL Grand Final.
nib Newcastle Knights Group Chief Commercial Officer Jodie Cross said the sales figures reflected the loyalty shown throughout the season.
"Having 65 per cent of the crowd attributed to Knights supporters is a powerful reflection of just how passionate and loyal the supporter base is," Cross said.
"We have some of the most avid and committed fans in the game, and we're incredibly grateful for the belief and support they have shown the team throughout the season."
Cross said the travelling contingent could provide Newcastle with valuable encouragement during the decisive match.
"To see so many Novocastrians getting behind the Knights and travelling to support the team is something we're incredibly proud of," she said.
"the fans and members are a huge part of what makes this club special, and we know they'll make their voices heard."
