Nathan Cleary drops a bombshell with his injury update
Penrith Panthers gun Nathan Cleary has spilled the beans on his hamstring injury, reassuring fans that it's nothing major.
With concerns of a lengthy spell on the sidelines fading into the background, the star playmaker is eyeing a comeback in Round 7 to face the Wests Tigers.
Missing just two games, Cleary will sit out the Panthers' upcoming showdown with the Sydney Roosters and the following clash against the Manly Sea Eagles.
However, he plans to be back in action after the bye in Round 6.
In an interview with Channel 9, Cleary disclosed that the hamstring issue is on the opposite leg to the one that sidelined him last season.
He even hinted that if this weekend's game was a grand final, he'd lace up his boots without hesitation.
"Yeah...
we've got Manly this week and then a bye," Cleary casually mentioned on Channel 9 when probed about his injury.
