Munster Takes a Stand: High Shot Highlight?

Cameron Munster of the Melbourne Storm has defended Latrell Mitchell from the South Sydney Rabbitohs following a controversial high shot during the Anzac Day game.

The incident occurred when Mitchell attempted to stop a line break from Melbourne's Sua Fa'alogo, resulting in a sin bin for Mitchell due to a high and late tackle.

The NRL's match review committee has since issued a Grade 2 dangerous contact charge, which could lead to a one-game suspension for an early guilty plea or two games if he contests and loses at the judiciary.

While the ten-minute sin bin had no impact on the score, it ended Fa'alogo's night due to a concussion.

Munster expressed uncertainty about how Mitchell could have avoided the incident, stating, "I don't know where you want Latrell to go there." He emphasized the challenges players face in determining safe contact levels in a fast-paced, slippery game: "It's a contact sport, and at the end of the day, I know we are trying to protect a lot of players with the head knocks, but it's very hard to determine how hard it is.

It's slippery out there, it's wet, force on force.

Sua is very quick, Latrell is very big."
