MRC lays four charges while NRL looks away

The NRL's match review committee issued four charges from Round 7 games, with players from the Gold Coast Titans, Cronulla Sharks, and Newcastle Knights receiving fines.

Despite four players being placed on report during the Canberra Raiders' win over the Gold Coast Titans, only Titans' Klese Haas was charged for a careless high tackle on Zac Hosking.

Haas faces a $1000 fine with an early guilty plea or $1500 if he contests and loses at the judiciary.

Joseph Tapine, Moeaki Fotuaika, and Hudson Young, who were also placed on report, avoided sanctions from the MRC.
