Moses Warned Over Referee Conduct After Match

The NRL has issued a warning to Parramatta captain Mitchell Moses regarding his interactions with referees after the intense golden-point defeat against Wests Tigers on Easter Monday.

Post-match, Moses stated that the Eels could not attribute their 22-20 loss to the officials, yet this morning, he received a concerning notice from the league.

This notice serves as an official warning to maintain decorum when addressing referees and does not involve any fines or suspensions.

Throughout the match, Moses made light and non-aggressive contact with referee Peter Gough while discussing on-field calls.

However, Moses often struggled to mask his irritation with the officiating, particularly in the first half.

Eels centre Sean Russell unfortunately concussed himself after a head clash with Heamasi Makasini, and was subsequently penalized and noted for rushing out of the defensive line.

The Tigers capitalized on this unorthodox HIA-and-penalty situation, with Adam Doueihi scoring off a flick pass from Kai Pearce-Paul.

Prior to the Tigers' next try, Pearce-Paul appeared to illegally strip the ball from Brian Kelly during a three-man tackle.

Trailing 12-10, the Eels aimed to head into halftime with a lead as makeshift centre Jack Williams surged down the right edge.
