Melbourne Storm have scored a try of their own by signing Paris Olympic Games Sevens Rugby star Moses Leo for the 2026 NRL season.

The Kiwi representative, who has donned the black jersey for the All Blacks Sevens, is set to bring his lightning speed and elusive footwork to the Storm's backline.

Leo's prowess on the rugby field has seen him play for North Harbour in the tough provincial championship in New Zealand before making his mark on the international stage.

With experience playing in multiple outside back positions, Leo is a versatile weapon that the Storm's recruitment team believes will bolster their attacking arsenal.

Having made his debut for the All Blacks Sevens in Singapore back in 2022, Leo has since racked up an impressive 82 matches for the national team.

His standout performances at the Paris Olympics and Commonwealth Games in Birmingham have solidified his reputation as a rising star in the world of rugby.

Before making the move to Melbourne, Leo will see out his contract with the NZRU in 2025, ensuring he leaves his mark on New Zealand rugby before setting his sights on making an impact in the NRL.

With his signature secured for the 2026 and 2027 seasons, Melbourne Storm fans can look forward to seeing Leo bring his A-game to the field Down Under.
