Lyhkan King-Togia, a promising 19-year-old player for the St George Illawarra Dragons, is reflecting on the crucial role his mother played in his journey to the NRL.

As he prepares for his fifth first-grade game against the Warriors, his mother is on his mind, especially during the Harvey Norman Women in League Round at WIN Stadium.

Growing up in a lively household in Dalby, Queensland, with four brothers, King-Togia often found himself in various mischiefs.

While he drew inspiration from his uncle, former Manly star Steve Matai, he credits his mother's sacrifices as fundamental to his pursuit of a professional rugby career.

King-Togia's talent caught the eye of Dragons recruitment specialist Ian Millward at a rugby league carnival in Queensland, reinforcing the club's belief in his potential.
