South Sydney Rabbitohs fullback Latrell Mitchell is facing a possible suspension due to a late high shot during a match against the Melbourne Storm.
According to zerotackle.com, the incident occurred in the second half when Mitchell was sin binned for a tackle deemed late after Sua Fa'alogo passed the ball to Tyran Wishart during a line break.
Fa'alogo suffered a concussion and failed a subsequent test.
The NRL's match review committee has charged Mitchell with Grade 2 dangerous contact, which could result in a one-match ban if he submits an early guilty plea.
If he contests the charge and loses at the judiciary, he faces a two-match suspension.
His first offence on his rolling 12-month record is likely to mitigate the penalty.
