Metre Munchers and Defenders: Week 11's Ruck Solid

In Round 11 of the NRL, the team of the week showcased standout performances characterized by impressive metres, creativity, and tough defense.

Clint Gutherson of the Dragons excelled at fullback, accumulating "205 metres on 22 hit-ups, busting 8 tackles, and crossing for two tries," along with a crucial try-saving effort.

On the wings, Zac Lomax maintained his excellent form, scoring "2 tries and a huge 29 carries for 219 metres," while Sea Eagles' Lehi Hopoate impressed with "213 metres and 7 tackle busts."

In the centres, Matt Timoko made a notable impact for the Raiders with a double, "157 metres and 3 tackle breaks." Herbie Farnworth followed up last week's performance, scoring "a try, running for 168 metres, and chalking up 3 offloads and 5 tackle busts."

The halves, Ezra Mam and Isaiya Katoa, struck a great balance with flair and control.

Mam made "3 try involvements and 5 tackle breaks," displaying creativity, while Katoa controlled the game well, with "3 forced dropouts and defended stoutly with 25 tackles."

The forward pack delivered a strong defensive performance, with Keaon Koloamatangi from the Rabbitohs leading the charge by "topping 290 running metres and making 53 tackles." Apisai Koroisau had an outstanding match for the Tigers, scoring "2 tries, breaking 3 lines, and racking up 58 tackles." Terrell May joined him in the engine room, contributing "184 metres, 6 tackle busts, and a staggering 68 tackles," which was the most by any player this round.

Overall, this week's selections reflect a blend of offensive prowess and robust defense, highlighting individual and team efforts that defined the matches.
