McGregor Weighs in on State of Origin

State of Origin has long been recognized as the pinnacle of rugby league in Australia.

This intense competition transforms casual supporters into fervent fans as Queensland and New South Wales develop a fierce rivalry three times a year.

The rivalry is so potent that it even reaches as far as Ireland, where Conor McGregor, a two-time UFC champion, has weighed in on the outcome of Wednesday night's decisive game.

One might ponder how much rugby league McGregor truly follows in his free time when he's not in the spotlight.

When asked on Main Event TV, "Queensland or New South Wales?" McGregor offered his take.

"I'll go with Queensland, and reason being Queensland are a staunch crew of people, and why?" he stated.

"Because they accepted Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship, which was the inaugural Australian event in Queensland, and it was very, very good."

McGregor, who co-owns the bare-knuckle league, continues to actively promote the event, using every opportunity to market his venture.

The mixed martial artist previously held the Featherweight and Lightweight Championship titles, famously becoming the first in UFC history to hold belts in two weight classes concurrently.
