Marzhew Extends Contract with Newcastle Knights

Newcastle Knights winger Greg Marzhew has secured his future with a long-term contract extension, ensuring his stay with the club until 2029.

The dynamic outside back, celebrated for his powerful runs and after a remarkable five-try performance against the St George Illawarra Dragons last weekend, had been able to engage with competing teams since November 1 of the prior year.

Now, he has committed to a three-year extension in Newcastle, solidifying his position within the team.

This agreement means that the Knights will have a strong wing duo in Marzhew and Englishman Dominic Young, reinforcing the team's back five for the long term.

Having already notched up 13 tries this season, Marzhew has been a key player and has consistently excelled since his unexpected transfer from the Gold Coast Titans.

Reports indicate that he turned down greater offers from other clubs to continue his journey as a Knight.

"Greg has been in stellar form, he's thriving outside Bradman, and we're pleased he has recommitted to the Club," O'Sullivan remarked.

"The game is dependent on backfield carries and Greg has one of the best carries in the NRL. Along with his try-scoring ability, he produces tries that others just can't score."

"Greg is an important signing. He is extremely popular within the playing group and throughout the Club, and the community loves him.

"Pleasingly, Greg turned down higher offers from other clubs to stay with the Knights and be part of the success moving forward."
