"In Benji we trust": Wests Tigers dismiss Marshall resignation rumors

After a rough patch of performances that have left the Wests Tigers at the bottom of the ladder, whispers started circulating over the weekend about Benji Marshall considering stepping down from his coaching gig.

But fear not, mates! Marshall and the club's top dog, Shane Richardson, have put the kibosh on those pesky social media rumblings as they strive to climb off the foot of the table and avoid snagging yet another Wooden Spoon.

Following victories over the Gold Coast Titans and Canberra Raiders, the Tigers have hit a rough patch in the last three weeks, letting in a whopping 138 points while only managing to muster up 40 of their own.

"It's a tough gig, no doubt about it," Marshall confirmed to The Daily Telegraph's Buzz Rothfield regarding his commitment to leading the Tigers.

"It's been a bit more challenging than I anticipated.

Perhaps everything I expected with a little extra sparkle on top."

Here's hoping the Tigers can rally and turn the tide before they find themselves in a real pickle.
