The Queensland Maroons squad for the upcoming women's State of Origin series has been announced by head coach Tahnee Norris, with a mix of familiar faces and new talent making the cut.
The squad features 16 players who faced off against the New South Wales Sky Blues last year, bringing their experience and skills to the field for this historic three-match series.
Additionally, Burleigh Bears utility Lauren Brown has made a comeback in maroon after a hiatus since 2022.
Exciting prospects Sienna Lofipo, Skyla Adams, and Makenzie Weale have also made the extended squad, edging closer to their Origin debuts.
Lofipo and Adams have already proven themselves with a win over NSW in the Under 19 team last year, while Weale from Norths Devils is showing great potential.
With the stage set for a fierce battle on the field, these players will be looking to make their mark and continue the Maroons' legacy in the women's game.
The camaraderie and determination of the team will be crucial in facing their rivals and securing victory in this prestigious series.
