The Manly Sea Eagles are sweating bullets over the health of forward Taniela Paseka, who copped a shoulder injury in the club's first pre-season stoush against the South Sydney Rabbitohs.
The big fella was forced off the field in the second half, leaving fans on edge about his availability for the start of the 2025 NRL season.
According to the lads over at zerotackle.com, Paseka's AC joint injury has put a cloud over his chances of strutting his stuff in Round 1.
However, fear not Sea Eagles supporters, as the club has given the thumbs up that there's no major damage and he should be good to go for the opening clash.
"The big unit left the field nursing his left shoulder, but it turns out it's just a grade one AC joint injury," the club stated on Monday.
"He won't be lining up against the Panthers in the trial this Friday, but you can bet your bottom dollar he'll be revved up and ready to go when we face off against the Cowboys."
In the world of Rugby League, injuries are a part and parcel of the game, but it's always a relief when the damage is minimal and the player is back in action before you know it.
Go the Sea Eagles!
