Manly re-sign Large brothers to 2029

Sea Eagles land Large double signing coup

Ashton Large won Manly's junior male player of the year award in 2026, while his older brother Onitoni made his NRL debut late that season.

The Sea Eagles have re-signed both brothers through to the end of 2029.

Onitoni, 19, played ten NSW Cup games after rising from SG Ball in a single season. He spent his first year in Manly's Top 30 in 2026 and is seen as a future halves partner for Joey Walsh, who also re-signed after impressing at NRL level.

Ashton, 17, was also part of the SG Ball side and will join the Top 30 in 2027. He could make his NRL debut within the next three years, in a position short on depth across the competition.

"Both young men are fine people. They're humble, they're talented and they work extremely hard," head coach Kieran Foran said of their re-signing. He said the brothers were well-liked by teammates and respected at the club.

"The boys have their sights set on one day playing alongside each other in first grade here at Manly, and that would be wonderful to see."
