Manly Forward to Negotiate His Own Deal for 2026
In a year marked by player agent controversies and public negotiations, not everyone is eager to engage third parties in deal-making.
One player opting out of the player agent landscape is Siosiua Taukeiaho, a prop for the Manly Sea Eagles.
The former premiership winner is set to negotiate his new contract for 2026 during the offseason, and he plans to do so without any representation, as reported by the Sydney Morning Herald.
Taukeiaho will take the lead in discussions for his contract renewal, much like he did when score a train-and-trial agreement with Manly earlier this year.
He acknowledged that the negotiation process is challenging, but he values the flexibility it affords him.
"I don't have a manager," Taukeiaho said. "I'm just trying to do everything on my own, which is a bit harder."
