Jaime Chapman and Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow have opened up about their NRL romance, delving into the potential challenges it may bring during State of Origin time.
The NRL and NRLW stars caused quite a stir among fans when they went public with their relationship in December.
As two beloved figures in the NRL world, Tabuai-Fidow and Chapman make for a dynamic duo that fans can't get enough of.
Their recent appearance together on the field made rugby league history, as they became the first couple to play in the same game on the same night during the men's and women's All-Stars games.
Representing the Indigenous All-Stars teams, Chapman celebrated a victory while her boyfriend faced a loss against the Maoris.
However, this moment marked a special milestone for the pair, who initially met during Indigenous All-Stars camp two years ago.
"It's pretty special that we are not only playing for the same team, but also both wearing the No.
1 jersey.
It's a rare and cool experience that we can share together," Chapman told the Daily Telegraph.
"Being able to spend time together in camp and take on this challenge as a team is truly amazing."
Chapman, primarily known for her role at centre or wing, sought Tabuai-Fidow's guidance on playing fullback for the Indigenous team.
This advice seemed to have paid off, as Chapman delivered an impressive performance in the women's game.
