Zac Lomax, the NSW Blues sensation, is gearing up for a new chapter with the Parramatta Eels after bidding farewell to the Dragons.
However, before he makes his move, Lomax has taken one last dig at former coach Shane Flanagan.
Their relationship was often described as rocky, with clashes between them being as common as scrums in a tough game.
This discord started when Lomax was shifted from the centres to the wing, a move that didn't sit well with him, despite earning accolades like a spot in the Dally M Team of the Year and representing the NSW Blues.
As Lomax heads off to greener pastures, he couldn't help but praise Michael Maguire, labeling him as the best coach he's had the pleasure of playing under.
This subtle swipe at Flanagan, who steered the Cronulla Sharks to an NRL Premiership in 2016, showcases Lomax's admiration for Maguire's coaching prowess.
"Madge was next level.
He's in a league of his own, no doubt about it," Lomax revealed on a recent segment on Triple M, making it clear where his loyalties lie.
