'Not losing any sleep over it': Liam Martin unfazed by criticism from up north as Bradman Best passes fitness test

The Blues camp hit a slight bump in the road as Bradman Best was forced to train separately from his teammates on Wednesday.

According to reports from news.com.au, Blues enforcer Liam Martin is backing Bradman Best to be fit and firing for next week's State of Origin decider.

The strike centre had to do his own thing during Wednesday's session in the Blue Mountains due to tightness in his right hamstring, but Martin remains optimistic about Best's chances.

Best has been brought back into the left edge to replace the injured Latrell Mitchell, but his own injury concerns could jeopardize his spot in the decider.

The two-try hero from last year's game 3 was put through a rigorous workout while the rest of the team trained, with Martin hopeful that Best will join the main sessions later in the week.

"He's reassured us that he's okay.

When he first arrived in camp, I asked him how he was feeling, and he said it was just a precaution," explained Martin, who has battled his own injuries in the lead-up to both games of the series.

"I shared with him that I've had similar issues in the past two camps, so I advised him to look after his body and do what's necessary.

He'll be good to go.

"I'm not too concerned.

As long as you're mentally prepared and understand your role, you'll be fine on game day."
