In a recent Super League match, Leigh secured a significant 28-10 victory over Hull KR, marking their first win against the league leaders since lifting the Challenge Cup in 2023.

Josh Charnley notably reached his milestones with "his 250th and 251st Super League tries," scoring in the 67th minute and again in the final minute.

This win ended Leigh's six-game losing streak, propelling them back into third place following a strong six-try performance.

Despite their recent defeat, Hull KR remains at the top of the league, maintaining a two-point lead over Wigan, even as they experience back-to-back losses for the first time since May 2024.

Additionally, Ethan O'Neill, Umyla Hanley, Keanan Brand, and Lachlan Lam also contributed to Leigh's score, with Gareth O'Brien kicking two goals.

Tyrone May and Kelepi Tanginoa managed to score for the Robins, but it was not enough to alter the outcome.

This match was particularly significant for Leigh, who had struggled in previous encounters with Hull KR, suffering three successive league losses since a playoff semi-final defeat in September 2023.

The victory illustrates Leigh's resurgence and highlights the competitive nature of the Super League this season.

Meanwhile, Warrington also showcased their resilience by securing a late victory over Catalans in Perpignan.
