The Leigh Leopards, a club in the English rugby league, are reportedly interested in bringing back Tom Amone after his move to the NRL did not go as planned.
Amone, who joined the Bulldogs for the 2025 NRL season, had previously played for the Leigh Leopards where he had a successful stint.
The 29-year-old began his career at the South Sydney Rabbitohs in 2019 before moving to the Wests Tigers in 2021.
However, he only played 17 NRL games before heading to the Super League where he played 79 games for Leigh over three seasons.
The Leigh Leopards were disappointed to lose Amone when he returned to Australia to join the Bulldogs in search of more playing opportunities.
Despite the Bulldogs' need for talent and depth in their forward pack, Amone has not yet made his first-grade debut for the team, instead playing in the NSW Cup.
This has led to speculation that he may be looking to move on from Belmore at the end of the current season.
The report from zerotackle.com suggests that the Leigh Leopards are keen to capitalize on Amone's potential availability and are prepared to make a push to bring him back to the club.
With his experience in both the NRL and Super League, Amone could be a valuable addition to the Leigh Leopards as they look to strengthen their squad.
The potential move back to the English club could provide Amone with the opportunity for more playing time and a chance to showcase his skills at a competitive level.
It remains to be seen how the situation will unfold, but it seems that the Leigh Leopards are determined to make a strong push to bring back the talented forward to their team.
