St Helens prop Matty Lees will be sidelined for the next two games after his appeal against a high tackle ban was rejected by an independent commission, according to a report on bbc.com.
Lees, who plays for the England national team, was penalized for a challenge on Joe Greenwood during Sunday's victory over Huddersfield.
The incident resulted in Greenwood being sent off for retaliating.
The punishment was deemed reckless by the officials, leading to Lees' suspension being upheld by the commission.
As a result, the 25-year-old will be absent for the upcoming matches against Hull KR and Castleford.
