The Newcastle Knights are likely to include both Fletcher Sharpe and Phoenix Crossland in their lineup for the upcoming Round 5 match against the Canberra Raiders.
While team announcements will be made on Tuesday afternoon, initial reports suggest that both players will feature in the home game that starts at 4 pm on Sunday.
Crossland managed to play through a broken nose while facing the Canterbury Bulldogs last weekend, and according to The Newcastle Herald, he has successfully cleared all concussion-related tests since then.
This versatile player, who has been filling in as hooker this season, remains a vital asset for Newcastle and is expected to take the starting position at dummy half for the clash with Canberra.
However, the bigger concern seems to be Fletcher Sharpe, who was seen in significant pain during the latter stages of the match against the Bulldogs.
Sharpe experienced a knee injury in the first game in Las Vegas, raising concerns that he may have aggravated it, yet he managed to finish the game. Reports indicate that he will also be included in Sunday's roster.
The Knights are already facing challenges with the absence of key players Kalyn Ponga and Dylan Brown but have performed admirably, winning three of their first four matches to place themselves within the early top four.
