The NRL squad of the New Zealand Warriors just got a boost, with five players jetting off to Australia for their upcoming clash against the Sea Eagles at 4 Pines Park in Sydney on Friday night.

Head coach Andrew Webster has confirmed that star halfback Shaun Johnson is back in action after a quad strain sidelined him in their last game.

Joining him are comeback kid Luke Metcalf, center Adam Pompey, winger Marcelo Montoya, and rookie back rower Leka Halasima.

Pompey and Montoya are both recovering from injuries and are looking to make a comeback, while Halasima has been impressing with an 80-minute performance in the club's New South Wales Cup side.

Webster is excited to have Johnson back on the field and has hinted that all five players who arrived today could be in contention for the upcoming game.

Unfortunately, center Ali Leiataua will be unavailable due to a concussion.

With these reinforcements, the Warriors are gearing up for a tough battle against the Sea Eagles and are hoping to bring their A-game to the field.

Fans can expect an exciting match as the Warriors look to make their mark in the NRL.
