Ronaldo Mulitalo will miss a crucial semi-final after being charged following New Zealand's 78-0 win over Fiji.
The Kiwis winger and Fiji halfback Brandon Wakeham were both sent off after an incident in the 52nd minute on Saturday evening.
The match review panel charged Mulitalo with a Grade 2 careless high tackle on Ronald Philitoga.
Mulitalo's shoulder struck Philitoga's head, and he landed on the Fijian player.
Philitoga underwent a head injury assessment and did not return to the field.
Wakeham received a Grade 2 striking charge for his actions against Mulitalo after the tackle.
Both players face one-match suspensions under early guilty pleas, but can challenge the bans.
If either challenge fails, that player's suspension will increase to two matches.
New Zealand are through to the 2026 Rugby League World Cup semi-finals and will meet either Samoa or Tonga.
