New Zealand Kiwis coach Michael Maguire has announced a 21-man squad for the upcoming Pacific Championships, with seven potential debutants included.
Among the fresh faces are Fa'amanu Brown and Leo Thompson from the Knights, as well as Wiremu Greig, Keano Kini, Griffin Neame, Matt Timoko, and Naufahu Whyte.
These players will make their first appearance in the squad when the Kiwis take on Samoa on October 21.
The Kiwis' engine room looks formidable, with Premiership-winning props James Fisher-Harris and Moses Leota set to start together.
Joining them are Nelson Asofa-Solomona, Joseph Tapine, Briton Nikora, and Isaiah Papali'i.
This powerful front line is expected to provide a solid foundation for the team's performance.
The hooking role presents several options for Maguire, with Danny Levi, Kieran Foran, and Nu Brown all capable of filling the position.
Unfortunately, Brandon Smith and Jeremy Marshall-King will not be available for selection.
Levi, who last played for New Zealand in the 2017 Rugby League World Cup, makes his return to the squad.
Additionally, Jamayne Isaako, who was the leading points and try-scorer in 2023, is back after his last appearance for the Kiwis during their 2019 tour of Great Britain.
With a mix of experienced players and promising newcomers, the Kiwis will be looking to make a strong statement in the Pacific Championships.
The squad's depth and talent in key positions bode well for their chances of success in the upcoming matches.
