Kiwis coach Michael Maguire has announced his 21-man squad for the upcoming Pacific Championships, with seven potential debutants included.

Among the newcomers are Knights duo Fa'amanu Brown and Leo Thompson, as well as Wiremu Greig, Keano Kini, Griffin Neame, Matt Timoko, and Naufahu Whyte.

Their first game is scheduled against Samoa on October 21.

The squad boasts an impressive engine room, with Premiership-winning props James Fisher-Harris and Moses Leota set to start alongside Nelson Asofa-Solomona, Joseph Tapine, Briton Nikora, and Isaiah Papali'i.

In the hooking role, the options include Danny Levi, Kieran Foran, and Nu Brown, due to the absence of Brandon Smith and Jeremy Marshall-King.

Levi is returning after his last appearance for New Zealand in the 2017 Rugby League World Cup.

Additionally, Jamayne Isaako, the leading points and try-scorer in 2023, is making a comeback after his last appearance during the Kiwis' 2019 tour of Great Britain.
