Burleigh Bears are hoping for a major boost with the potential inclusion of Keano Kini in their squad for Saturday's preliminary final.
Kini, a 19-year-old dynamo, has played 12 games in the Hostplus Cup this season and has also made six appearances in the top grade.
This makes him eligible to return and strengthen the Gold Coast affiliate's chances of defeating the Wynnum Manly Seagulls and securing a spot in the grand final.
The final decision on Kini's inclusion will be made on game day.
In other team news, Jacob Alick is set to be included in the final 17 after missing the first week of the QRL finals due to NRL selection.
Alick has been a regular player for Burleigh in the Cup this year.
He will join Titans teammates Tony Francis, Iszac Fa'asuamaleaui, and Josiah Pahulu in the clash.
The match is scheduled to kick off at 2.10pm on Saturday at Pizzey Park in Burleigh.
