The NSW Sky Blues are in need of a new leader after Kylie Hilder decided to step down as coach following two tough State of Origin losses.
The news wasn't exactly a surprise, as men's coach Brad Fittler made a similar move after last year's series.
One of the top contenders for the Blues' coaching role is Brett Kimmorley, with Roosters coach John Strange and former Dragons mentor Jamie Soward also in the mix.
Soward, who was let go by the Dragons at the end of the 2024 NRLW season, is hoping to make a comeback in the coaching ranks.
The timing of the women's Origin series, which kicks off on May 1, allows for the possibility of an NRLW head coach taking on the role alongside their club commitments.
Blues co-captain Kezie Apps, who plays for the Tigers under Kimmorley, is backing her coach to take on the challenge.
With the support of players like Apps, Kimmorley could be the one to lead the Blues back to victory and restore pride in the sky blue jersey.
Time will tell if he can rally the troops and bring home the glory for NSW.
