In unfortunate news for the Dolphins, local player Josh Kerr will be absent from their final match of the season against the Warriors.
According to a report on the Dolphins' official website, Kerr has accepted a one-match suspension, resulting from a grade two dangerous contact charge.
Thankfully, Kerr's clean record as a first-time offender has allowed him to receive only a one-match ban.
This means he will be eligible to play in the first round of next year's competition.
However, had he chosen to contest the charge, Kerr would have faced a two-week ban.
It is a blow for the Dolphins to lose such a talented front rower, especially considering his roots as a local junior with the Redcliffe Dolphins.
The match against the Warriors will take place at Suncorp Stadium and is scheduled to kick off at 3pm on Saturday.
