Cronulla halfback Nicho Hynes and Panthers fullback have been called up to the Gallagher Kangaroos squad for the Pacific Championships.
This decision comes as a result of Nathan Cleary's withdrawal due to a knee injury and Josh Addo-Carr's breach notice following an NRL Integrity Unit investigation.
Hynes and Edwards will join three Broncos players, Selwyn Cobbo, Thomas Flegler, and Kotoni Staggs, as potential debutants in the 21-man squad.
The Brisbane trio will join their teammates Payne Haas and Patrick Carrigan in representing their country.
Another rookie in the team is Dolphins fullback Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow, who previously played centre for Queensland in their Origin series victory.
The updated squad, listed in alphabetical order, includes these players.
