Jye Gray Signs Long-Term Deal with Rabbitohs

The South Sydney Rabbitohs have officially confirmed a long-term contract extension for Jye Gray.

After November 1, Gray attracted interest from multiple rival NRL clubs and from R360, which is keen to recruit top NRL players with lucrative deals to launch their global competition later this year.

In a surprising twist, Gray has chosen to stay with South Sydney, signing a three-year extension that ensures he will join the team as the full-time fullback, succeeding Latrell Mitchell, starting in 2026. This deal secures Gray's position at Maroubra until at least the end of 2029.

This decision is significant for South Sydney, representing a substantial advantage for the club while dealing a blow to potential suitors, including the Perth Bears, who were reportedly preparing a lucrative offer to lure the young talent across the country.

Expressing his gratitude, Gray stated, "I'm really grateful to Souths for giving me the opportunity to stay at this great club." He also expressed his commitment to the team: "I'm determined to repay the faith they have shown in me by putting my best foot forward over the next few years to help us achieve the goals."
