In a tough weekend for the Raiders' junior reps sides, victory eluded all three teams in round two's heated action.
As reported by raiders.com.au in their latest article dubbed "Junior Reps Wrap: Round Two," the SG Ball side faced a formidable challenge from the Illawarra Steelers at Raiders Belconnen on Saturday afternoon.
With a strong start, the Raiders took an early 14-0 lead within the first 12 minutes, courtesy of exceptional tries by Ethan Alaia, Atini Tuialii, and Lekani Mpaso.
Excitement filled the air as the half-time approached, with the Raiders boasting an 18-10 advantage.
However, the second half witnessed a drastic change in tides as the Steelers seized the momentum and hammered in six consecutive tries, ultimately sinking the Raiders with a final score of 42-18.
Undeterred by their defeat, the Raiders now set their sights on Sydney, where they will face the formidable Sharks in round three this Saturday.
