Judiciary news: Daly Cherry-Evans cleared

The Manly Warringah Sea Eagles have scored a win off the field, with star player Daly Cherry-Evans given the all-clear to take on the Canberra Raiders this Friday night.

The captain successfully dodged a dangerous throw charge, proving he's still got plenty of game left in him after a whopping 313 matches for the club.

The Sea Eagles took a gamble by pushing to downgrade the charge, showing they're willing to fight tooth and nail for their players.

Cherry-Evans, known for his clean record and leadership on the field, was only handed a $750 fine for the lesser offence.

Unfortunately, his team-mate Haumole Olakau'atu wasn't so lucky and will be sitting out the next two games.

But fans can look forward to his return in Magic Round against the Brisbane Broncos, where he'll be fired up and ready to make his mark once again.
