Dual-code forward Jones, who represented Wales in both rugby union and rugby league, has died at the age of 59.

His international rugby career began in union, playing 15 times for Wales from 1987 to 1990.

Jones made his debut against Scotland at Murrayfield in March 1987, where he scored a late try in a 21-15 loss.

In October 1990, Jones switched to rugby league, part of a larger movement of Welsh players leaving the amateur union game for the professional league.

Despite battling a series of ankle injuries that limited his early appearances for Hull, his skill eventually became evident.

In rugby league, he earned 11 caps for Wales, which included participation in the notable 1995 World Cup, where Wales reached the semi-finals.

Additionally, he played for Great Britain, marking his appearance against France in February 1992.

Jones's contributions across both codes of rugby highlight his versatility and talent in the sport.
