The Australian Jillaroos and Kiwi Ferns are set to face off for the second time in the Women's Pacific Championships, following their recent clash in Townsville.

In their previous encounter, the Jillaroos emerged victorious with a 16-10 win, thanks to the impressive performance of debutant Tamika Upton.

The Kiwi Ferns, however, showed promise in their subsequent match against Mate Ma'a Tonga, securing a 28-10 victory.

Seeking redemption after their defeat in last year's World Cup Final, the Ferns will be eager to secure their first win against the Jillaroos since 2016.

On the other hand, the Jillaroos, led by coach Brad Donald, will enter the match well-rested and well-prepared, having enjoyed a weekend off.

With the inclusion of debutant Jakiya Whitfeld, who showcased her skills with four tries in the Australian Prime Ministers XIII's clash, the Aussies will be boosted heading into the match.
