Jackson Topine Receives Offer from Rabbitohs

Former Bulldogs second-row player Jackson Topine has received a significant career opportunity from the South Sydney Rabbitohs.

This comes after Topine attempted legal action against his former club, claiming he was demeaned during a wrestling drill at training.

However, he resolved the situation about a month ago, and it seems he is eager to make his return to the NRL.

The Rabbitohs have extended a $5,000 offer for the NSW Cup, even though he has been away from the sport for nearly three years, according to the Daily Telegraph.

Topine's departure from the Bulldogs was tumultuous, stemming from an incident in 2023 where he was reportedly subjected to an intense wrestling exercise after arriving late for training, which led to psychiatric injuries.

Following this, he took legal action against the club after leaving abruptly in 2023.

The Bulldogs have refuted all claims made by Topine and his legal representatives.

If he joins South Sydney, it could be a valuable acquisition, with Topine potentially teaming up with experienced fullback Matt Dufty in reserve grade, ready to step in if injuries arise at Heffron Park.

It remains uncertain whether Topine has accepted the NSW Cup offer; however, his return to the Rabbitohs' NRL squad would certainly stir excitement, especially during a match against his former team.
