Cronulla Sharks' official website, sharks.com.au, has reported that Wade Graham, who recently celebrated his 250th game for the club, has announced his retirement.

The emotional announcement was made in front of current and former teammates, family, and friends, with the 2023 season set to be his last.

Graham will hang up his boots once the Sharks' current season concludes.

The news was delivered to the Sharks NRL playing group, as well as close friends and family, including former teammates and coach Shane Flanagan.

Graham joined the Sharks in 2011 after leaving Penrith and played a vital role in their 2016 NRL Premiership victory.

After sharing captaincy duties with Paul Gallen, Graham officially became the Cronulla captain in 2020.

Throughout his 13 seasons in the top grade, both at the Sharks and previously at the Panthers, Graham earned the respect of his peers and teammates.
