Wests Tigers coach Brett Kimmorley has openly acknowledged the success of his decision to acquire winger Jakiya Whitfeld from the Knights for the team's debut NRLW season.
Whitfeld's exceptional performance in the Wests Tigers' 10-0 victory over the Sharks over the weekend further emphasized the value of this acquisition, as the team continues their unbeaten start in the NRLW in 2023.
Despite being only 22 years old and playing in just her fourth NRLW game, Whitfeld showcased an extraordinary performance that left many astounded.
Her remarkable display had spectators and enthusiasts alike scrambling to consult the record books, as she managed an impressive 21 runs, accumulating a total of 292 metres.
This achievement now positions her second on the all-time list, trailing only Raiders co-captain Simaima Taufa, who recorded 307 metres for her former club Parramatta in Round 5 of the 2022 season.
