Iro recommits to Sharks until end of 2029
sharks.com.au is reporting that strike centre KL Iro has signed a three-year contract extension, ensuring he will remain with the Sharks at least until the end of 2029.
Iro, who was already under contract for next year, has made a significant impact on the left edge since becoming a regular in the NRL last season, boasting a record of 16 tries in 35 NRL matches.
The 25-year-old's journey is marked by determination and resilience, having started from the NSW Cup after only making one appearance for Cronulla in 2022.
The Cook Islands international has risen to every challenge, earning another opportunity in Round 4, 2024, where he has established himself as both an offensive threat and a strong defensive player.
While a pectoral injury has limited him to 11 appearances this season, Iro has scored 10 tries, affirming his place as one of the top outside backs in the competition.
