The Newcastle Knights are facing another setback as five-eighth Fletcher Sharpe's injury troubles resurface.
Having already missed a significant portion of last season due to a ruptured spleen and lacerated kidney, Sharpe showcased his skills during the early part of the game against the North Queensland Cowboys in Las Vegas.
Despite an impressive start, his participation ended abruptly after just 25 minutes due to a non-contact leg injury.
Fortunately, there is some optimism surrounding the situation; it appears he has likely avoided a ruptured ACL, providing a small silver lining amid the disappointment.
However, the frustration remains palpable for the team and its supporters.
"He will not be back today but will need scans."
