Hynes dishes on injury and coaching dreams

Nicho Hynes, the 2022 Dally M winner and dynamic halfback for the Cronulla Sharks, is eyeing a future as a head coach as he battles back from injury on the sidelines.

Sporting the esteemed number seven jersey for the NSW Blues in the opening clash of the 2024 State of Origin series, Hynes unfortunately found himself sidelined with a broken leg and a syndesmosis injury.

Since his last appearance in Round 18, the gutsy halfback has undergone surgery and is on the road to recovery with hopes of returning to the field before the finals kick off.

While the official word is still up in the air, Hynes is optimistic about his imminent comeback against the New Zealand Warriors next weekend, stating, "I'm not too sure.

Some days [the leg] feels really good and some days it doesn't," with a grin.

With his sights set on both a triumphant return to the game and his eventual coaching aspirations, Hynes is gearing up to lead his team to victory both on and off the field.
