'Best decision I've ever made': Hunt revelling in GF redemption

Ben Hunt, the five-eighth for the Broncos, has expressed that his choice to return to Brisbane is the best decision he has ever made, marking the end of a decade filled with grand final heartbreak.

Hunt celebrated his first premiership following the Broncos' 26-22 victory against the Melbourne Storm, a decade after his notorious mistake-dropping a kick-off that led to a golden point loss in the 2015 finals.

After departing Brisbane to play for the Dragons in 2018, Hunt experienced a tumultuous split last summer. While several clubs, including the Roosters, pursued him, Hunt felt that returning to Brisbane was the only choice that resonated with him.

Although he was confident in the Broncos as a top-eight team upon his return, Hunt revealed it was only a few months ago that he truly started believing they could achieve ultimate success.
