Hughes Signs Contract Extension Until 2030
Melbourne Storm has announced that star halfback Jahrome Hughes has signed a four-year contract extension, ensuring he remains with the team until the end of the 2030 season.
Already tied to the club until 2026, this new deal reflects Hughes' commitment to the Storm.
Widely recognized as one of the top playmakers in rugby league, Hughes was awarded the Dally M Player of the Year in 2024.
Since joining the Storm in 2017, he has been instrumental in the team's ongoing success, playing a key role in their Premiership victory in 2020 and contributing significantly to multiple finals appearances.
Initially starting as a fullback, Hughes has excelled in the No.
7 jersey, supported by coach Craig Bellamy.
In 2024, he took on the role of Vice-Captain alongside Cameron Munster and had his most remarkable season yet, scoring 12 tries and assisting with 26 across 23 games.
His exceptional performance led to him receiving both the Cameron Smith Player of the Year and Dally M Player of the Year awards.
