The Dolphins are set to bring exciting entertainment to their showdown with the Brisbane Broncos this weekend.
Halftime will feature a performance by The Hoodoo Gurus, who crafted the NRL's advertising soundtrack from 2003 to 2007.
This iconic Australian band, recognized among the best in the nation, first released "What's my Scene?" in 1987 and later re-recorded it as "That's my Team" in 2003.
Formed in 1981, the band-comprising Dave Faulkner, Brad Shepherd, Rick Grossman, and Nik Rieth-actively played until 1998 before reuniting in 2003.
They recently announced a tour to celebrate their 45th anniversary and will perform at Suncorp Stadium on Saturday, where the Dolphins seek a significant step toward their first finals series against the reigning champions, who may struggle to qualify.
Currently, the Dolphins hold the fifth position on the ladder with 30 points, needing just one win from their final five matches to secure a playoff spot in their inaugural NRL season.
In contrast, the Broncos languish in 15th place and would require a miracle: winning all five remaining matches along with favorable results for a shot at the knockout rounds, as their title defense falters.
The Hoodoo Gurus boast ten studio albums filled with timeless tracks; their discography includes the debut Stoneage Romeos from 1981 and their latest release, Chariot of the Gods, from 2022.
