The Queensland Maroons have announced their squad for Game III of the 2025 State of Origin series, set to begin preparations on the Gold Coast.

Key highlights include the debut of two players-Hayley Maddick and Georgia Hannaway.

Maddick steps into the starting fullback role following Tamika Upton's withdrawal due to a hip injury from Game II.

She had an impressive 2024 season with the Brisbane Broncos, showcasing "speed, footwork, and defensive toughness" that made her a crucial part of their backline.

Georgia Hannaway, a standout for the Cronulla Sharks, has also made significant strides in her career.

After excelling in the BMD Premiership, she quickly became essential in Cronulla's halves, leading them to the NRLW grand final and earning the club's Rookie of the Year award.

In addition to the new players, veteran Ali Brigginshaw will shift to the lock position, replacing Keilee Joseph, who is sidelined for medical reasons.

Lauren Brown will take over as halfback, while Destiny Brill returns to the starting lineup.

Wests Tigers winger Emily Bass joins the squad wearing the No.19 jersey.
